Two options add an "s" to make heart attack plural or put an "a" after the comma to make ... , a heart etc.... Either makes the sentence is correct

My suggested version:  Many people develop an eating disorder, which can lead to diabetes, heart attacks or other obesity-related illnesses.  Sincerely,   James (P.S. the comma is necessary after "disorder" because the relative pronoun "which" does not refer to "disorder"; rather, it refers to "Many people develop an eating disorder."  Grammar books would construe that use of "which" as meaning "a fact that.")
