In order to revamp arts education, the CDC has been planning to carry out a new senior arts education from 2005 to 2010, and suggested that at least five per cent of learning time for secondary high school students should be included. Although the EMB hasn’t yet required secondary schools to carry out the above suggestion, the new senior education reform is scheduled to be carried out in 2009. In other words, the new senior arts education will have to be implemented in secondary schools. Music, which is considered an important subject in arts education, will surely be included in the new senior music education.
