1. 'Therefore the pattern of resource use will be determined by the relative cost of

resources'

'Therefore the pattern of resource usages will be determined by the relative costs of

resources'

Can you tell me which one of the two is grammatically better and more

idiomatic?

2. 'Please help me improve my english'

In this sentence I omitted 'to' in front of 'improve' is that ok? Can you tell me

when I am allowed to do that?

Thanx and have a most wonderful day

1. 'Therefore the pattern of resource use will be determined by the relative costs of resources' -- this one is better.

2. 'Please help me (to) improve my English'- I think the 'to' is always optional after 'help', so long as it is followed by an infinitive.
