Please correct my mistakes in 2 small essays (and in this sentence as well - for me it's terribly important! (seems like a wrong usage of the word "terribly"

Best team experience.

This summer I took part in the walking-tour in the region of Putoran Plateau, located in polar zone not far from Norilsk (somewhere deep in Russia). Our route started by the rivers and canyons and then laid in the vast & almost lifeless expanses of plateau. Group consisted of 8 people with 2 experienced leaders.

When you go hiking you expect it to be hard, but anyway every time it's a surprise again. Standard routine: get up at 7 o'clock, quick breakfast and striking the camp, then 45 minutes walking and 15 minutes of relaxation, 5 times before and 4 times after the lunch. First 3 days are always the hardest: you are not used to new conditions yet, backpacks are full of food and really heavy (more than 30 kilograms). One hour of such walking is quite enough to start thinking of one thing: "How could I allow them to take me here? I should be somewhere near a seashore". But you understand that you have no right to be whining because all other members of your team feel the same. All of you have one goal - to pass the tests of this exact route.

In our case the situation was even more difficult because of the weather. In that part of the country (let me remind you that the plateau is located beyond the polar circle) summer lasts about two months, and anyway you hardly can take the sunbathes even in the warmest part of it. During out trip the temperature most of the time was about 8-10 centigrade degrees, it was raining and it was foggy .

It was a good lesson of behavior in groups in a kind of severe conditions. When the everyday march is over, you have to overcome your tiredness and settle a camp that imply pretty much that no one is obliged to, but someone have to do: to go for the firewood, water etc. Our leaders arranged the (?) duties for cooking the food, everything else had to be done by volunteers. That taught me how to adjust my own desires (to lie down and not move until the food) with the necessities of the group.

Few times, because of the weather, we had to diminish the route and to completely change it once. That was really difficult decision because all 6 newbies (including me) wanted to continue the current road, and even the leaders wanted too, but their experience dictated to change the plan. That was more than dissapointing for the group, but we accepted (?) that decision and, although it might have been less interesting, our following road was safe. (again something about how this taught us to listen what leaders say or smth. to end with - please help me with this final sentence!)

Best achievment.

In winter 2007 I was invited by my scientific adviser at the State Unviersity - …,

Mr. N, to do my practicial work in the leasing company "Bla-bla Co". I thought that

would be a great preparation for work in …ing - and it actually was. My aim was to design a risk

management system, wich did not existed in the company at that moment. That was a really challenging goal, because I didn't have any practical knowledge of the subject and was barely understanding what to start with. My scientific adviser just told me to study risk management standarts and to do what they imply (because they don't have any strictly defined algorithms actually).

So I had to do everything on my own: study company's business processes, communicate with different departaments, look throught contracts and documents. The main point was to make comprehensive in-depth analysis of components of risk involved in that concrete type of business. I went through all the stages of risk-management process: establishing the context, risk identification, analysis, evaluation and treatment. I designed and analyzed risk map, evaluated different risks, estimated considered all reasonable types of risk mitigation measures, defined who should be responsible for identification each type of risk and who should actually deal with that risk event.

I did my best and I suppose, I did it well. Based on this material, I wrote my master's thesis, and at the presentation I received 9 (10 was maximum). (and may be 1 more sentence to finish it)
