The answer is a. but not b. Why? The question isn't asking how the teacher feels about your work. It is asking you if there is any way you can tell how the teacher feels - is there a method you can use to work out how the teacher feels.

( I'm not so sure about the question, I cannot make out the word after tell, if you can , please download the file here, question 28 http://www.lsa.umich.edu/eli/eli1/ecpe/audio/0304/Track%2004.mp3 ) If haven't listened but the word 'if' would seem more natural.

2) If a person cuts class and leaves home to become a gang member or a hobo or a drug addict. How do you say that verb? Which verb

3) Can I use the term : The US government in a formal writing when no abrreviation allowed. How can I replace the word US? United States - but the whole thing is really United States of America.

Hi,
1)So what does "Not that I know of " mean?
2) I mean, if there is a student who loses himself, leave home, become addict... So, is there any verb for the noun" hobo"? Can I use roam?

1) Not that I know of - not that I am aware of - I am not aware of any method to find out the teachers feelings.

2) That is a very specific example - does it have to be a student? I'm having a hard time thinking of a verb that covers everything you want. Roaming could be quite pleasant - there are people who buy camping vans etc and 'roam' their country as a lovely way of life after working for years. It doesn't cover the idea of becoming a junkie etc. I can't think of a verb for this concept...
