There is a bridge with 4-lane road.

The road on the bridge is 4-lane. Each two lanes towards opposite driving direction. In this case, do you say 4-lane road in English?

How do you call if the 4-lane road is one way?

I would like to know how to explain the road or highway with lanes?

Normally, when someone talks about a "four lane road" they mean a total of four lanes i. e. two lanes in each direction.

If something else meant then you need further qualification such as "four lanes in each direction."
