Does it mean that these emotions are negative, and it means you will avoid all negative emotional states?  Not necessarily negative, but perhaps not always desirable. The use of the word "may" indicates that you will not always counteract the emotional states.

Does it simply mean that this stone makes our lives more spiritual?? No, but it may help you to have more spiritual thoughts.

Does the "wit" here mean "humour", i.e. we become funnier, or rather more sensible??? Makes you more intelligent, quicker in thought.

4. The amethyst is used by those involved with lawsuits to ensure that right is done.

I can guess what the highlighted words mean, but could you explain them in more detail. For example, I think it may mean that we will be right, that we will win. It is supposed to influence the outcome of a lawsuit in a favourable way. The problem will be identifying what is right for whom. If the opposing parties in a lawsuit both use amethysts, then one will be benefited whereas the other will not since someone will lose a lawsuit.
