Hi, I would like to know the exact meaning of this expression in this sentence:
' ...romantic, egalitarian and revolutionary type all at once
-had chilvary in his blood. Like some figure from a restored monarchy, he had come to purify the church. You couldn't imagine him making a BIG DEAL OUT OF ANYTHING'.

= making/considering something overly important or more important than it actually is.
