hi all,
I often find this expression on job search websites.
Example :
"you will be responsible for delivering high quality customer service support to blue chip clients."
What does "blue chip" stand for ?
Thank you in advance.
Regards.

"Blue chip" means "very important", perhaps wealthy as well. It comes from the game of poker where the blue, red and white chips have different dollar values. My financial advisor uses the term "Sunday morning client", to mean that I can call him at any time, even on a Sunday morning (when he would normally not be working).
