(b) She took the boy together to buy things first.  She and the boy went together to buy things.

(c) She heard a crying sound. In the crowd, he could not find his parents. There is nothing to link the two sentences. Each sentence is correct, but they do not have a connection.

(d) He was lost with his parents. This means that both the boy and his parents are lost.

(e) Jenny squatted down and asked the boy why he was crying. ok

(f) He felt pity of / for him. ok

If the lost boy was crying in the corner. So, Susan wanted to take her to buy somethings to make him stop crying. So, can I say,

(a) She took the boy together to buy things first.

(b) She bought some sweets to the lost boy to lure....( how do I say something like make him stopping crying)

Susan persuaded the boy to come out of the corner by saying that she and he will buy some sweets.
