It is always interesting to hear the answers people come up with for this riddle, here goes:
A man and his son are in a car accident. They are taken to different hospitals for treatment. When the son is wheeled into surgery the surgeon takes one look at hin and says, "I can't operate on this boy, he's my son.  How can that be?

I remember reading this riddle in this section of the forums, and I also remember the solution, so I'm afraid I can't play Smile [:)]

There is no greater pain than to remember a happy time when one is in misery. (Dante)

I actually heard it in a movie. Can't resist throwing it out there now and again ever since I saw it! Unfortunately I can't tell you the movie just yet!

Thanks for this interesting riddle. May be the key to the answer is that everybody has two parents.

There you have it! Of course, logically the surgeon is his mother. Simple when you know the answer. It's men that have a hard time getting it. Riddle originally posed by psychologists to point out the differences in the male and female thought processes.
