I think, that it could be nice for you to try English Grammar in Use.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/052143680X/002-2652151-1319225?v=glance&n=283155

I hope, You know this..

it helps, even if you have a perfect English, you can improve it by those 2 pages for each "topic". It trains your grammar knowledge in some areas and and opens some knew moments for you.

And this one could be useful only for Grammar too:  FCE Use of English ,

http://www.podreczniki-gandalf.pl/b/fce-use-of-english-2/  ( sorry for finding the polish site of book, i couldn't find another one, sorry again)

you should only choose the level of your knowledge and here you go then!

is quite good in terms of grammar too.

Thanks a lot! Smile [:)]
I've been told about murphy's grammar. I went to a book shop to look for it...and as i imagined i found a huge amount of grammar books... so i didn't know which one was the best or the most useful for me. I glanced at it and i thought it was good and practical but then i found out the Advanced grammar in use, by Cambridge too, and the author was Martin Hewings. So i decided to buy the advanced one because i wanted to have some tips about things i didn't know about grammar and i think this is the right one (hopefully i'll be right...). Unfortunately it's not the edition with the cd like the intermediate one, but anyway i think that it's better to read and study on a proper book as 8 hours a day in front of a pc are enough...!
And about the swan's grammar, i thought it was...too thick and expensive but maybe it was worth buying it as well because it was well organized. Anyway, i think the next book will be an exercise book with keys, just to practice and understand what are the mistakes i make more often!
Thanks again
Ciao Wink [;)]
