Can I say,

(a) Her school shoes are expensive.

(b) He has a pair of shoes that is expensive.

(c) The shoes are beautiful but expensive.

Instead I would say this:  He has an expensive pair of shoes.

(c) The shoes are beautiful but expensive. OK
