Hello people,

I would like to ask two questions:

1. I am in academy and would like to learn about abbrevations used in academic papers, such as "et al", "e.g."...

Could you provide me a good internet adress where it lists these abbreviations with their explanations? I searched over google, but surprisingly could not find a satisfactory, in terms of briefness,

adress.

2. Are you aware of an abbreviation for "respectively"?

I present numbers in my paper and I frequently use this word but it is a long word and if there is a legal, formal abbreviation for it, I would love to use it, which also will save space!

Thank you in advance.
