I think it's good actor, but he isn't good for all kind of film.
Example he will be good in comedy and horror, but not in criminal story.

johnny depp is a good actor, but just in pirates of the carribean. dunno, in all his other movies (i saw quite a lot) he wasn`t that cool. always okay but never that good as he is as jack sparrow
