Can I say,

(a) This is a cactus. / This is a cactus plant.
(b) This is a water lily.  /This is a water lily plant.
(c) Those are oil palm. / Those are oil palm trees.
(d) These are hibiscus. / These are hibiscus plants.
(e) These are orchids.  /These are orchid plants.
