That's right Orpheus. It is the national bird of NZ. That is why they call NZers Kiwis. They are only found in NZ.
The Kiwi is a brown flightless bird with a long beak that usually comes to life at night.

I like the Scottish accents as well, and I would like to speak English like them. Instead I don't like my Spanish accent at all, although I cannot part with it.

Cheers

Though sometimes a thick Scottish accent can be hard to understand (and sometimes an Irish one too), especially at one of their local pubs at closing time.Smile [:)]
Castles....I love castles!

Where are you from Canvas? I am sure I'd love your accent if that helps you... I like mine, too. I am saying this just in case somebody around here gets a little confused. Although people usually seem to be surprised when I say I am Spanish, I think that when you speak a foreign language it doesn' t necessarily mean that you have to get rid of your own background and culture to adopt a new one.

I am from Spain. In fact, I rather had to have said that my accent sounds weird when I speak English. It is true that I don't have to get rid of my own background. In fact, I think learning a foreign language does not affect my cultural background at all. Therefore, I can speak with a British accent and at the same time I can fell Spanish. I don't see any problem with my background.

Cheers
