Why we accepted or accept Peter to collect the goods instead of us?

Hi,

Why we accepted or accept Peter to collect the goods instead of us?

Why did we accept Peter as the collector of the goods instead of us?

'Us' doesn't make sense here. 'We' seem to be asking a question about 'us', which is very strange. You need to say it in another way.

Is it possible to say 'Please help me' when you post these threads, and perhaps 'Thank you' when you get an answer. If you don't, it makes me feel like I am just a worker (unpaid!) in your business office.Crying [:'(]

Yes, I agreed with you Tammy.

Sorry to be blunt here, Clive

Hi again,

I didn't intend to make a big deal out of saying what I said. I really don't have a great hunger for thanks, but I just feel that a reasonable level of politeness is not too much to expect. Surely you would agree?

In addition, I'm sure you've noticed that anonymous posters regularly ask us to check a very, very great deal of text that relates to the shipping, receiving and invoicing of goods. We don't, of course, have to reply if we don't want to, but at the same time we don't like to leave a thread unanswered. My main motivation is to help people here improve their English, but with these posts I often feel that I am simply helping someone to run their business. That makes me feel a little strange sometimes. How would you feel if you were asked to answer such queries? Would it not bother you in the least?

I'm sure you appreciate that I am speaking only for myself in this thread, and not for any of the other people who regularly post answers. And it was not my intention to discourage people from posting their questions.

Best wishes, Clive

You're speaking for me!

It's not necessary to shower the people who help here with praise and glory, but acknowledging that this is something we do as volunteers and that we're actual people might be a nice thing to do.

You're speaking for me, too, Clive!  Especially in this part:
