Situation: When you click "+", it enlarges the map. If you click "+" twice, it enlarge the map twice.

Can I say this?
It enlarges the map according to the number of clicks.

Thanks.

How about changing it to "Zoom"?

Say, Zoom level of the map can be increased by clicking "+"

Or - Click "+" once to zoom the map and twice to zoom it further.

Or... there would be 100 other possibilities to say that... Smile

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Experiment it, Experience it and you'll Discover it!

I read "enlarging the map" to mean either: 1) increasing the map magnification (zooming in more), or 2) expanding to a wider area (e.g., a map of England expands to a map of Europe and which expands further to Europe and Central Asia).

You most probably meant no. 1, right? If that is the case, I suggest:

"Click + to increase map magnification" is suffice. This instruction is always valid because every click will increase whatever that is currently being displayed.

Or perhaps:
"Map magnification increases with every subsequent/successive click of +"
