To my ear, the work accounts should be replaced by account in the following. Am I correct?
Thanks
'The benefits of a social net that allows for balance between work and family life ACCOUNTS for a Dutch woman's sense of contentment'

Thanks, Nona!
It was the phrase 'the benefits' that made me think it should be account.
Thanks again!

I'm sorry, Nona, I do not agree:
The
benefits
of that social net
ACCOUNT
for a Dutch woman's sense of contentment.
This
social net
ACCOUNTS
for a Dutch woman's sense of contentment.

The key word here is benefits. Because it is plural, account should be used.
Examples:
The benefits of the course that the university offers ARE...
The benefit of the course that the university offers IS...
and so on...
