I scan something but it's not very clear at the other end. What adjectives would describe that?

Scan is _____________?

distorted, blurry? Do these sound right? Is there any more?

Hi,

I assume that 'the other end' means your computer screen, where you look at the page you just scanned in.

I scan something but it's not very clear at the other end. What adjectives would describe that?

Scan is _____________?

distorted, blurry? Do these sound right? Is there any more?

Blurry sounds OK. You might just say 'the page didn't scan very well'.

'Distorted' is a more formal word, that tends to suggest letters or shapes are curved or wavy in some way. It doesn't just mean you can't read them.

Best wishes, Clive

Or maybe "the scan's a bit fuzzy".
