Dear teachers

1) When do you use "government" and "governmental" as adjectives ?

Would you say "government forces" or "governmental forces"

2) Do all the following adjectives mean the same or is there a difference between them?

What are the best equivalents of "episodic violence" : sporadic fighting, spasmodic / intermittent  violence, periodic attacks ?

Would you say that "episodic, spasmodic, intermittent events" happen occasionally and at irregular intervals, while "periodic events" are occasional but happen at regular intervals ?

Best regards,

Hela
