Can anyone explain to me which of the two sentences below has the adverb badly  placed correctly:

Where you badly hurt?

Where you hurt badly?

Many kind thanks in advance for anyone who replies to this post.

Your sentences are not correct. Are you sure you mean "where" and not "were"?

Were you badly hurt?

The adverb "badly" modifies the adjective "hurt" - it answers the question: to what degree were you injured?

Where Were you badly hurt?

Where Were you hurt badly?

Both are fine (as corrected).

Both are correct:

Were you hurt badly?

BUT

Were you badly hurt? = sounds better to me (British English?)
