What is the difference between "suggestion" and "advice"? Thanks for your help.

Suggestion:  a proposal offered for acceptance or rejection.
Advice:  a proposal for an appropriate course of action
.

Quite similar, but I consider that a suggestion is one type of advice; advice is usually more comprehensive.  Also, the former is countable, while the latter is not.
