Hey guys,

A few days ago my dad made an experiment: he installed a photo-camera on remote-controlled airplane and took some pictures from the air. This is what it looked like! Smile

What about the airplane itself? Could you post a photo of it? How did he control it, the altitude looks so high, was the plane even visible?

Here we go.
The wing-span is about 2 metres, so yes, it was visible from the ground. The altitude it climbed was about 300m.

Wow, it's big! Your dad bought it or assembled by himself?

BTW, it should be very-very exciting to install on it a small video-camera that would transmit its signal through ether, so that you could control it in first-person mode!

A very interesting experiment indeed! I just wonder how close to the airport your small plane actually flew. Your experiment wouldn't be allowed very close to Helsinki Airport because of the risk that it might collide with a passenger jet. In the countryside it would probably be all right.

When I was a child I dreamt of  such a plain. Nice photos.
