What is the difference between these two words (affect vs. effect)? What is an easy way to remember their meanings?

"affect" is a verb.
"effect" is a noun.

That covers 99% of the cases.

A simple way to understand the difference of the two words (as verbs),

[1] "effect X" = "make a good result (= X)"
(EX) This drug will effect relief of pain.
[2] "affect X" = "bring bad results to X"
(EX) This drug will affect your health.

Effect can be a verb or noun .But affect is only as a verb.

On the other hand , Effect means "make something happen". Bu Affect means the effect of something.

“Bu Affect means the effect of something.”

I'm not sure what you were trying to say here.

Either way, there are many threads on this topic and the answers rarely get better as the threads get longer.

99.99% of the time, "affect" is a verb.

Not quite as often, but far more often than not, "effect" is a noun.

That will help most learners in most situations.

I'm going to lock the thread now.

If you genuinely have a question about the two words that has not been answered, please start a new thread, with your SPECIFIC question.
