Hello, teachers!

[1] Would you please tell me if I can use these with the same meaning?
1. He was afraid to be laid off.
2. He was afraid of being laid off.
3. He was afraid that he might be laid off.

[2] Would you please check these sentences and correct them for me?
1. He was afraid that he might be killed in the war.
2. He was afraid that he might be interrupting something.

Thank you very much.
Peace!
