2. Saul entered Yale at the age of 14.

3. Saul entered Yale at 14 years of age.

4.  Saul entered Yale at 14 years old.

#1 and #2 are correct. How about #3 and #4?

#4 is the only one that sounds odd to me, Teo.  'Old' is an adjective, so should not be the object of a preposition.

Maybe this is a BrE and AmE difference, but #4 seems fine to me, and a usual way to say this.
