I have some confusion regarding the usage of "ago" and "back".

Which is correct?
few years ago/few years back
5 years ago/5 years back
2 hours ago/2 hours back

Any additional details will be appreciated.

In this context 'back' may be understood by some people in some areas or countries to mean 'ago', but using 'ago' will be understood in all places where English is spoken. So, to be clearly understood everywhere 'ago' is best.
