Is it possible to use enter when referring to walking into the compound of the shop?
Yes.  You can enter a place that has a roof or ceiling (the most common use) or you can enter a place that is a defined area (garden, yard, forest, cemetery, field, etc.) even when there's no roof or ceiling.
