Please tell me what are the differences between 'ambulation' and' mobility'? Are they synonyms? (As far as I know  both words refer to the ability to move easily). Thanks for your help

It depends on the context.  Mobility is the ability to move (which could include just the arms, for instance), while ambulation means walking, specifically.
