Yes. Indeed the number of people who do not believe the official story is increasing every day. Many of these people DO believe some of the more unusual theories.

From an article by Paul Watson;
----

According to the new New York Times/CBS News poll, only 16% of Americans think the government is telling the truth about 9/11 and the intelligence prior to the attacks:

"Do you think members of the Bush Administration are telling the truth, are mostly telling the truth but hiding something, or are they mostly lying?

Telling the truth 16%

Hiding something 53%

Mostly lying 28%

Not sure 3%"

The 84% figure mirrors other recent polls on the same issue. A Canadian Poll put the figure at 85%. A CNN poll had the figure at 89%. Over 80% supported the stance of Charlie Sheen when he went public with his opinions on 9/11 as an inside job.

A recent CNN poll found that the percentage of Americans who blame the Bush administration for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington rose from almost a third to almost half over the past four years. This latest poll shows that that figure has again risen exponentially and now stands at well over three quarters of the population.

In 2004 a Zogby Poll showed that just over half of New Yorkers believed there was a cover up.

In May of this year another Zogby poll indicated that around half of ALL Americans did not buy the official story.

The latest poll also shows a massive awakening has occurred recently given that previous estimates indicated that around 34% still believed the official story and around 30% were oblivious altogether.

----

So it seems that, yes, many people think there is more to 911 than we are being told. Whether what they believe is, as you put it 'crazy theories' remains to be seen.

Oh, I can very well believe that the Bush administration is not telling the truth.

They're politicians, for chrissake. Politicians are liars by nature. They wouldn't go very far if they told the truth.

That's one thing.

The controlled demolition of the Twin Towers by a bunch of crazy demolition men hired by rich Jews and even richer Muslims and Elvis Presley is quite another.

But if X people want to believe it, fine by me. There are many women who believe in Prince Charming, too.

I won't deny them their right to kiss as many frogs as they like. It's their privilege.

My dear Sara, the crazed demolition men are your imagining. So are the rich Jews, they are also yours! The richer muslims? Yours too!

Elvis Presley? I find it very difficult to fathom the er... logic in your thinking.

Prince Charming? Now I am quite worried.

Kissing frogs??? Wow, not my cup of tea, but each to his own, Sara.

Really! What have all these things to do with public opinion polls?

Hi,
does anybody know what we are talking about here? This thread is a mess!
Anyway, I was saying that it seemed to me that you were talking about 9/11 and the Twin Towers, and that no one here believed that there was something strange about the Towers fall. It seemed to me that you all believe it was the planes that brought them down, and that's all there is to know about the story, period. No controlled demolition, no lies, nothing strange, except some paranoid people who are silly and think the towers were pulled down by someone else... and that kind of stuff.

That's what I understood in this thread, it that what you are talking about and what you think?
I believe we will never know the truth, but it wasn't two planes to do all that. There is something strange, and those controlled demolition theories might not be fairy tales.

If you don't have a sense of humor already, it's about time you buy one.

I suggest you read the whole thread before typing Sad [:(] . None of these things belong to my imagination.

Public opinion polls have nothing to do with this thread.

Perhaps is it you the one whose imagination is at fault?

Because I find it very difficult to fathom the logic of your reasoning, if there's any.

And I'm not YOUR dear. Please don't address me as such.

To Anon.,

I couldn't figure out which part of your post is a quote and which part is what you wrote. Please repost and substantiate your argument. Thanks.

A minor technical point, perhaps; but I believe Osama bin Hussein hiring blue-eyed Peruvian Muslims (the relics of Gallo-Nordic incursions from the 10th century) to fly planes into the Twin Towers to line the pockets of baby-munching Elders of Zion who would then use the money to finance substandard Mafia-controlled construction work on fish and chip shops in Brighton & Hove where Elvis works on Saturdays after his paper round circulating the Morning Star was actually my conspiracy theory, Anon, not Sara's.

Credit where credit's due.

Elvis was also involved, allegedly; though I find that difficult to believe, as he was working in my local fish and chip shop at the time.

Will I be allowed to defend my friend?

None of the things you mention belong to Sara's imagination of logic.

Neither the reference to prince charming. That phrase was pronounced, in fact, by  H.R.H. Princess Diana of Wales. She was the one who said that to find a prince charming you had to kiss many frogs.
