Hoodwinking seems to be a national pastime in the mighty USA; The Gulf of Tonkin charade, The JFK assasination, the Pearl Harbor attack that was made to happen, the Oklahoma demolition, the 911 demolition (don't forget Larry Silverstein's insurance, building no.7, the put options, the missing gold, the Norad stand-down, the unexplained thermate residues, the convenient passing of the Patriot act, ), dial-it-in elections, Saddam's Weapons from Fantasyland ... the list goes on .

What's the story Oklahoma-wise, Anon? I don't think I know that one.

Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Pedantic, but your post was not there when I wrote mine.

I wouldn't have written mine if I had seen yours.

Thank you

I don't profess to know the whole story. Indeed, getting any kind of grip on what really happened involves a hell of a lot more effort than the mere  passive digestion of misinformation flowing from the Ministry of Truth via its mainstream media tentacles - effort which most people just don't seem to be willing to spend. Most people are comfortably numb, and just believe (without even conscious assessment) the drivel that the mainstream media channels painlessly inject into their minds.

The truth, in matters controversial, rarely falls into one's lap. In fact truth can be a dangerous thing.

Here is a tickler for anyone genuinely interested in the Oklahoma bombing;

"McVeigh said he believed Potts was manipulating him and forcing him to 'go off script,' which I understood meant to change the target of the bombing,"

G'day Anonymous,

Are you saying that just because two insane hoodlums bickered about their potential victims this means that there was some form of conspiracy beyond that of a few insane hoodlums?

Have you looked into Mr Potts' track record?

No way. I am not saying that at all. I do not think any insanity was involved.
A conspiracy? Perhaps. History is littered with conspiracies. It is strange that the current generations seem to want to turn a blind eye to them.

Nichols Fingers FBI Agent Directing McVeigh in OKC Bombing By Name
Newspaper reported name of Potts before court sealed documents

A newspaper reported the name of the FBI agent fingered by Terry Nichols as having led Timothy McVeigh in carrying out the Oklahoma City bombing before a Utah court order sealed documents pertaining to the testimony.

Though subsequent reports do not mention the accused agent by name, the Deseret Morning News identified the individual as Larry Potts, who was the lead FBI agent during the Ruby Ridge confrontation in 1992 and was also involved in the 51-day siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas in 1993.

Potts (pictured above) was forced to retire after it emerged that he tried to cover-up an order to shoot anyone seen leaving the Weaver cabin at Ruby Ridge.

"McVeigh said he believed Potts was manipulating him and forcing him to 'go off script,' which I understood meant to change the target of the bombing," Nichols stated.

I do not think that it is possible to commit mass murder and be sane.  I do not believe that it is possible to contemplate carrying out mass murder and be sane.

I can assure you that many tragic hoodlums have used versions of this.

Would it sound any less plausible were it to read as follows?

"McVeigh said he believed Jesus Christ was manipulating him and forcing him to 'go off script,' which I understood meant to change the target of the bombing,

"McVeigh said he believed the Tooth Fairy was manipulating him and forcing him to 'go off script,' which I understood meant to change the target of the bombing,

"McVeigh said he believed Elvis was manipulating him and forcing him to 'go off script,' which I understood meant to change the target of the bombing,

I don't know any definition of who's sane and who's insane.

What I believe is that it is not possible to commit murder and still retain those qualities that make us human beings. Killers are not human any more.

They are not even animals, because an animal only kills for hunger or for protection.

Killing is so horrible a deed that the killers will always try to put the blame on someone else.

Elvis, if they want to.
