'using animals for gaining good health'
It seems the term 'animal therapy' was coined in Japan.
Could it be taken as 'giving better health to animals'?
Is it better to say 'animal-assisted therapy'?

Thank you.

Could it be taken as 'giving better health to animals'? - only if you are talking about improving the health of the animals and not people.
