Hi,

Could you please tell me about this sentence? Is it completely correct?

"Do you know any buldings need a humidity controller?"

Isn't this sentence better:

"Do you know that any bulding needs a humidity controller?"

You need to say

"Do you know any buildings that need a humidity controller?"

Best wishes, Clive

Hi,

You need to say "Do you know any building that needs a humidity controller?" or

"Do you know if/whether any buildings need a humidity controller?"

"Do you know any buildings that need a humidity controller?"

"Do you know any building that needs a humidity controller?"

Ok so, the question here was which of these is better. That's what I want to know. They do mean the same thing?

Also, if I said, "Do you know any buildings that need humidity controllers?" would that suggest that one humidity controller may be needed for each building, more than one humidity controller for each building or it doesn't say?

Thanks

Hi,

"Do you know any buildings that need a humidity controller?"

"Do you know any building that needs a humidity controller?"

Ok so, the question here was which of these is better. That's what I want to know. They do mean the same thing? #1 suggests that the speaker will not be surprised if there is more than one such building. #2 suggests that there may only be one such building.

Also, if I said, "Do you know any buildings that need humidity controllers?" would that suggest that one humidity controller may be needed for each building, more than one humidity controller for each building or it doesn't say? It leaves it unclear.

Best wishes, Clive
