In second 46 of this video there's an image of the public at a Joan Baez Kennedy Center Concert to pay tribute to Pete Seeger in Washington, 1994

From left Pete Seeger, a woman, Kirk Douglas and somebody who looks to me like Peter Ustinov.

Who's the woman?

Urgently needed to give my students ALL the background info.

Thanks

No idea, sorry, I don't recognise her. Perhaps she isn't a celebrity/VIP? I'm not sure about the Peter Ustinov either - I agree it does quite look like him but it is hard to tell from only part of his face, and he doesn't look old enough to me.

Doesn't Joan Baez sound dreadful here though! Surprise [:O]

Hi Nona

I don't recognise the woman either. I think JB sounds all right! Her voice is a little lower than it was when she was young and she sings the second note in where have all the flowers... lower than the original version. I wonder if that is what makes you think she sounds dreadful? (I prefer the original pitch as well. Smile [:)])

Cheers

I am the original poster (is that the word?)

Dreadful? I'd say wonderful. The best version by far including the one when she was younger and the one by Kinsgton Trio.
There's some other version by a woman in youtube they identify as Joan Baez's but it is not obviously  hers. The woman sounds good too.

About Peter Ustinov, he probably looked that young in 1994 the year of this concert. I don't know if he would fit well in that bunch, though.
