Hello,

I just wondered if someone is here who loves LotR as well as I do? Perhaps even someone who reads fanfiction and wants to talk about them?

Something about me: I'm a 24 old girl from South-Germany and am posseded of the LotR-fever. I have stopped counting the times I read the books and watch the movies. For a few years now I write and read fanfiction of that topic. I write in German (and hope to find someone who's a native speaker to helps me with translating the stories to English and to write generelly in English) but I read mostly only fanfictions written in English.

Is here anyone who is as insane after LotR as I am? If you're - lets talk about it.

Greetings from Germany

Aragil

Thank you for the test. I've done it. Is it ok having 110 right answers and one wrong?

Hi Aragil! I love 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' too!
Have you heard that Christopher Tolkien - son of J.R.R. Tolkien - has been editing his father's unfinished 'The Children of Hurin', and it's due to be published next year? See:

Well, I love the triology. However, it's far more than a mere fiction to me. It's a modern myth that reflects older myths and human beliefs throughout the history. I think that's why it attracted so many fans, everyone can communicate with their own system of beliefs thorough it. It was this aspect that made it special to me.

I like both the film and the book so much that started writing the word "habit" with two b letters... I realized that just today, lol. A friend of mine, when she saw my writing, drew my attention to the fact that there was something strange with the word "habbit"... Embarrassed [:$]Big Smile [:D]Stick out tongue [:P]

Aaaagh! LOTRs! Love it! Has anyone here ever heard of facebook.com? I have a group on there called Gondor and there are other LOTRs groups on there as well. I'm also a member of a group called Middle Earth: Rivendell. One time my neighbors and I drew a LOTRs RISK (ever heard of the game RISK?) map, built a table for it, put the map inside the table, put glass over that, printed out playing cards, and bought game pieces! It's an awesome game! Unfortunately the table is too big for me to stuff in my car and stick in my dorm room now that I'm in college. =(
