Please could you help me write an apology letter to the CEO for bad behaviour. I an employed by one company and contracted out to another. i had an argument with the receptionist where I am based because whenever I go out and my manager calls she says I am either gone home or not sure where I am. In this light it was a bad reflection of me at my office. All of which was not true I had just gone out on lunch as it was Lunch time. So my manager called me to ask why have I gone home and I expalined that I was on lunch. I then went back to office and approached the receptionist asking why did she tell my boss a lie. One thing led to another and she denied ever saying anything and we started raising our voices to each other. She in turn sent the CEO her boss (where I am based) an email telling him what harrible argument we had and I accused her of so many things all of which was not true. The whole saga was sorted out and we are the best of friends. But  her CEO in turn sent and email to my CEO who has now called me in an wanted an explanation of which I did. Because we are a service provider to this client they feel whether I am right or wrong I have to send a letter of apology to the CEO.

The way i see this si that it was a total misunderstanding between the receptionist and myself because my manager had misinterepreted what she had said.

Please help i dont know what to say or how to apologise because I feel I was not wrong as it was not the the first time the receptionist has done this
