Is it correct to write LADIES' SECTION (of the golf club) and
LADIES' CAPTAIN? I believe the apostrophe is here, meaning section belonging to the ladies etc. A lot of people don't put one in - which is correct please?

Since it is the section for the ladies, I think use ladies' is more appropriate. Anyway not using is not wrong either. Same as

Company name or company's name. With 's you emphasize on the belongingSmile [:)].
