Can both words "apropriate" and "suitable" be used interchageably?

They can be interchanged in many sentences, but appropriate has more of a sense of being legally and morally correct, so is used with "behaviors," "actions," "practices," "decisions".

Suitable means that it fits the requirements and circumstances. -  A suitable replacement part, a suitable place to live, a suitable husband, a suitable job,  etc.

Which is correct then:

You should put banknotes into appropriate/suitable place in the drawer.
