Since we are dealing with philosophers , music composers , etc we must not compare the IQs of all men and women , but we must compare the IQs of the most intelligent men and women (it's always the minority of people that is able to do great things) . As one guy mentioned before, out of 100 men and women there are 10+7=17 men of super-high and high intelligence and only 5+2=7 women . So that's the reason why 90% of the world's geniuses are men . But that doesn't mean that men are superior to women . But they are not even equal . They are different . You can't compare apples with oranges . Men produce civilization , women raise children .

Someone mentioned that the forced position of women in society along History has undermined their progress . That's totally wrong . In europe since the 18th century all women of high society knew how to play the piano or how to make a painting since they thought they would attract the most powerful of men with their skills . Despite this fact they weren't able to produce a music synthesis or a painting that could stand next to those produced by men .
About Felix Mendelssohn's daughter, the fact that she was playing the complete well tempered clavier of J.S. Bach at the age of 11 doesn't prove anything . Composing and performing classical music are two different subjects . Even today one of the most popular performances of the Well Tempered Clavier is that of a woman's , Rosalyn Tureck's.
In fact Mendelssohn's father decision proved to be right cause his son became one of the greatest composers of all times.

Someone else mentioned that if women had the power the world would be a paradise or something like that . I will only mention the case of Elisabetha Bathory , a countess from Hungary , who she thought that if she had a bath with the blood of some hundrends of young women she would have stayed immortal . So she forced her soldiers to slaughter lots of young girls and bring her their blood . Well it doesn't sound like a paradise to me . Women are as cruel as men , they just don't have the power to show it.

My conclusion is that men and women are totally different . Men are more intelligent but it's not only intelligence that matters in our world.
A great man will be judged by his intelligence and by the strength of his soul.
A great woman will be judged by her ability to raise her children and stand next to her husband and not by the books she has written or the music she has composed.

i,m sorry , i was wrong . super-high and high IQs are the same for men and women, 10+2=12 about men , 5+7=12 . The difference is to the super-high IQs , 10 for men and 5 for women . But frome the other hand it's only 1 out of 1000 that could be called a genius and even more . So we must learn the results for ultra-super-high IQs .
