We use "the" article before any newspaper like "The Times of India.

but why do we not use article "the" with magazines (e.g. Playboy).

But, of course, not where the language has no articles!

as in the two biggest Russian newspapers Pravda and Izvestya (Truth and News).

But then we're not talking about English anymore.



Off-hand, I can't think of an English language newspaper that doesn't begin with "The".
