1) Did you get a shower today?

2) The papers were returned because of the lack of English proficieny.

3) I'll be leaving on the 23rd of March.

Except you "take" a shower (the kind to clean yourself). You don't "get" a shower...but:

"did you take a shower today?" (did you do it?)

OR

"did you get to shower today?" (did you have an opportunity to do it?)

So depending on your meaning, either of these is the correct version for the first sentence.
