Experts,

Let's say you're in a busy fast food chain, and the only way to get you a seat right away is to share a table with someone else. In a situation like this what would you ask the person(people) who are already seated there?

May I share this table with you?
Can I join you here?

Are these okay to use? Let me also know what you normally say in a situation like this.

Thank you.

Those are both OK.  I normally say the first:  May I share this table with you?
