Aunt Betty prepares the dish by combining the ingredients as
described in the recipe, putting them into an oven-proof container,
sometimes circular, sometimes rectangular. She turns on the oven,
waits for it to reach the correct temperature, places the container and
its contents into the hot oven and closes the door of the oven.
When the proper amount of time has passed, Aunt Betty removes the dish
from the oven and places it on the table where the family is gathered,
and everybody serves themselves from the common container by taking the
amount they want and putting it on their own plate. And then they
eat it.
