Hi,

Does this sentence sound right? Does it mean "I know him well and I know he likes to tell lies so I would believe him"

Thank youSmile [:)]

It was understandable to me, but it is slightly awkward. The typical idiom is "I know better than to believe him." implying that you know him well enough to know that he is a liar. If you want people to be sure that you know him well, perhaps: "I've known him for a long time and I know better than to believe him."
