	CalifJim  +  141436 Sat, 24 Sep 05 11:54 PM Well, the "between" in the informal version carries the connotation of "working together".  I don't sense that "among" could carry that meaning in the given context.  In a written form (i.,e., 'formally') I would write "Working together, Joan, Vick, and I found the answer".
