Dramatis Personae:
Maria Conlon
Brian Conlon
Bob Lieblich
Mrs. Bob (Sharon Lieblich)
Site: Tivoli Restaurant, Arlington, Virginia, Greater Laurel

Topics: Food, sheep, English usage, various AUE-ers, a dram of politics and a soupcon of dismay at the state of the American public schools
Matters resolved: Maria and Bob spend too much time on AUE; AUE is actually pretty interesting; there are some very unusual people posting to AUE; Tony's letters to Sis are actually pretty funny; discussion of sheep has declined severely since the loss of two of our prized Irish participants; the British have no grasp of the proper terminology of baked items; Garry Vass eats too much peanut butter.
Further comments:This was the same restaurant where the Lieblichs dined with Laura Spira and Mr. Laura (okay, Michael) a couple of years ago. I think we even sat at the same table. The scintillation level of the conversation was comparable, and the food's still good. I was a bit surprised to discover that Tootsie is a dead ringer for Cameron Diaz, and when she took off her jacket after retrieving her finger cymbals from one pocket and performed a belly dance ad lib, the entire restaurant responded with a standing O.

(Well, okay, there was a bit of exaggeration in that last item.) We also visited the half of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that wasn't under construction and spent a few minutes with Albert Einstein at the corner of 22nd and Constitution. As seems always to be the case with AUE Boinks of whatever size, a good time was had by all, and the people we met proved even more fascinating in person than in their AUE posts. Greater Laurel will welcome the Conlons back whenever they wish to return.
Move the minutes be adopted as written.
