Maybe not all people can express themselfs as good as you can.
You should not prejudge to easily
In all the cases you are right and people write because they are bored, you could write some very interesting stuff and give them the opportunity to respond to your interesting topic Not because they are bored but because they want to.

More than being lonely, they need change, they may be in a crowd of friends and not at all lonely, but possibly they need a change

and want to change some new situation or way to just filling good and beatifull life. getting a little bit out from your road.

Bored people don't have to be lonely people. Maybe they are forced into a situation. Out of there routine. In that case I agree with Eagle, those people need a change.
There also could be people who are to tired to do anything. Those people are also bored. Not necessary lonely.

Molly you sound like you have a problem with the difference, maybe your to busy picking apart what everyone else says. It was only an observation of people writing notes. Some had seemed lonely and it seem somewhat sad for them. You seem to be taking this very personally. Maybe you are lonely and can not admit it.
