It's a joke comparing some brides to Godzilla.

Brides who get too carried away with their wedding arrangements and turn into monsters!

The name says it all.

Does it mean the bride goes nuts? Crazy?

I'm not really comfortable with the association with a monster.

That's the association though! Like Godzilla.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I know Godzilla is a monster. But I would like to know what behaviors are expected of a bridezilla? Could you be more specific on the behavior? Crazy? Mad?

See

I must admit I've been using the term incorrectly - I've used it to refer to an extremely ugly/fat bride!
